Standard Liege has reached an agreement with AEK Athens for the transfer of Hakim Sahabo. The Rwandan midfielder, who was partially trained at Les Rouches, will strengthen the club in Greece. Sahabo returned to Standard Liege in 2023 after a stint at Lille. Since his return, he has played 24 matches with SL16 FC and 34 matches with the first team. Last season, he also had a six-month loan at Beerschot, where he played 15 matches. The club wishes him the best for his further professional career. This transfer marks a new step in Sahabo's development, as he will now be able to showcase his talent in the Greek league.
