Standard Liege has signed Gustav Mortensen from Lyngby Boldklub. The Danish left-back has signed a contract until June 2030. Gustav Mortensen was born on March 19, 2004, and made his professional debut in 2022 with Lyngby Boldklub. He also played on loan at Vendsyssel FF during the 2024-2025 season. Marc Wilmots, the coach of Standard Liege, is enthusiastic about the new signing: "We have been following Gustav for a long time. He is a fast left-back with a lot of endurance and a big growth margin. Able to play in multiple systems, he fits the values of Standard Liege and should integrate quickly." Gustav Mortensen himself is also enthusiastic: "When Standard Liege contacted me and presented the current project, I was quickly convinced that I had to be part of this adventure.
